New York

New York, USA

New York City is located within the ‘Empire State’ of New York in the north east of the USA. The city does have a range of nicknames, including: ‘The Big Apple’ or ‘The City That Never Sleeps’ and is often referred to by its initials, either NY or NYC.

If you are an active adventure seeker, then you will find plenty to keep you occupied in and around the city. San Francisco is known to be one of the most bike-friendly cities in the United States and you will find several bike rental locations across the city; why not coincide your love for exercise with sightseeing and take a bike tour? There are also a number of golf courses in the city, most of which are open to the public, and plenty of local sports teams to keep you entertained, including the San Francisco 49ers (American Football), San Francisco Giants (Baseball), Golden State Warriors (Basketball), and San Francisco Bulls (Ice Hockey). As the sports seasons overlap, you are likely to find a sports event any time of the year.

While San Francisco is not generally known for its beaches, they do have some stunning locations to soak up the sun. Beaches in San Francisco aren’t ideal for swimming, due to cold water and strong currents, but many people do enjoy relaxing on the sandy beaches and taking in the scenery. Baker Beach is one of San Francisco’s most popular locations due to its incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Other popular beach locations (with a view) include China Beach and Kirby Cove Beach.
