Matlock Farm Park
Matlock, Derbyshire
A wonderful working farm located in Matlock is home to a wide array of animals, including all the usual farmyard favourites: Cows, pigs, goats, and donkeys. You can take a stroll around the farm at your own pace and discover some cute creatures; you may even want to purchase a bag of animal feed for £1 from the Farm Shop. The informative staff will explain which animals you can feed and how to feed them.
There are food outlets available, for example, The Garden Room Café, which is perfect if you want a hot meal, or The Rainforest Coffee Shop, ideal for a light snack. There is also ice cream available, which makes a great addition to a family day out. If you plan on bringing your own lunch, there are a number of picnic benches for you to use.
The Farm is accessible to all and the tarmacked paths make it easy for anyone to navigate. On some rainy days, it would be a good idea to take the kids wellies; for some wellie recommendations for boys and girls, take a look at the bottom of this post.
